Overview
We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Developer to design, develop, and optimize cloud-based data warehousing solutions using Snowflake. The ideal candidate will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑performance analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake data warehouse solutions
- Build and optimize data models, schemas, and tables for analytics and reporting
- Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake SQL and cloud-native tools
- Optimize query performance, cost, and resource utilization
- Implement data security, access controls, masking, and governance policies
- Integrate Snowflake with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
- Perform data validation, quality checks, and troubleshooting
- Support deployments, monitoring, and production issues
- Document architecture, processes, and best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data warehousing or data engineering
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake (SQL, virtual warehouses, stages, streams, tasks)
- Strong SQL skills (advanced queries, performance tuning)
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Informatica, Talend, Matillion, Airflow, etc.)
- Understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred / Nice to Have
- SnowPro Certification (Core or Advanced)
- Experience with dbt and modern analytics engineering practices
- Knowledge of Python or Java for data processing
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data platforms
- Experience in data governance, data quality, and metadata management
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
