Job#: 3040478 Job Description: Remote DevOps Engineer OverviewThis role supports the software delivery toolchain and enables development teams to efficiently build, test, secure, and deploy applications.
As an Engineer II on the Development Tools team, you will play a key role in designing and maintaining automated solutions that streamline CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) processes across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design, Develop, and Maintain Automation
- Build, enhance, and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines
- Optimize workflows using modern tools and technologies to improve delivery efficiency
- Champion Engineering Best Practices
- Contribute to and promote high coding standards
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed
- Ensure Platform Performance and Reliability
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Support upgrades and enhancements to tools and platforms
- Code Review and Testing
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests
- Requirements Analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to review requirements
- Provide input on system design, testing strategies, and implementation approaches
QualificationsRequired- 3+ years of experience with DevOps-related technologies (CI/CD tools, source control, artifact management, etc.)
- 3+ years of infrastructure engineering experience (Linux and Windows environments)
- Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
- Experience with middleware technologies (e.g., application servers like WebLogic or Tomcat)
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to incorporating security best practices into development and operations
Preferred- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory)
- Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Groovy)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)
