Senior Software Developer Cloud Migration & AI-Assisted Engineering About the Role As a Senior Software Developer, you will be a hands-on engineering contributor supporting the migration and modernization of business-critical applications from distributed on-premises infrastructure to cloud-native platforms in AWS and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). You will help redesign, refactor, build, test, and deploy applications that improve scalability, resiliency, security, maintainability, and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a developer who combines strong software engineering fundamentals with modern cloud development practices, disciplined delivery in Jira and GitLab, and active use of AI-assisted development tools such as Codex and Copilot to accelerate first-draft code development, improve quality, and optimize solutions. What You ll Do Develop, refactor, and modernize application components as part of an on-premises data center to AWS/Google Cloud Platform cloud migration. Build cloud-ready and cloud-native application capabilities, including APIs, services, integrations, data access layers, and deployment automation. Use AI-assisted development tools for first-draft code creation, not only debugging, including code generation, test scaffolding, refactoring, documentation, and optimization. Leverage native GitLab integrations for source control, merge requests, CI/CD pipelines, code review, security scanning, and AI-enabled engineering workflows. Partner with architects, business analysts, project managers, QA, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations teams to deliver secure and reliable solutions. Participate in application assessment, dependency analysis, fit-gap review, modernization planning, testing, cutover, and post-migration stabilization. Maintain strong documentation for designs, technical decisions, APIs, deployment processes, operational procedures, and support handoff. Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of hands-on software development experience. Demonstrated experience modernizing or migrating applications from on-premises distributed infrastructure to AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform. Strong experience with Jira for agile delivery, backlog execution, sprint planning, defect tracking, and traceability. Strong experience with GitLab, including branching strategies, merge requests, CI/CD pipelines, code quality, and DevSecOps practices. Practical experience using Codex, Copilot, or similar AI-assisted development tools for first-draft software development, refactoring, unit tests, and optimization. Experience developing secure, scalable applications using modern SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices. Strong understanding of APIs, cloud services, databases, application integration, resiliency, observability, and production support. Preferred Qualifications Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or other regulated environments. Experience with containers, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and cloud-native patterns. Familiarity with enterprise landing zones, IAM, networking, security guardrails, logging, monitoring, and compliance controls. Experience with .NET, C#, Java, Python, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar enterprise technology stacks.
