Quality Assurance Tech - Quality Assurance Tech II

Location: North Reading, Massachusetts (Onsite)

COMPENSAITON: $37 -- $47 HOURLY

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract position. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, an ability to remove roadblocks, and a detail-oriented approach to testing websites. This role involves regular collaboration with Developers, Product Managers, and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. Key activities include identifying use cases, creating test cases, executing tests, and reporting results during the development cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Developers, Product Managers, and other Quality Engineers to ensure production environment stability.
  • Identify use cases and create detailed, comprehensive test cases.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to find and report software defects.
  • Clearly document and report test results and issue resolutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process and the Software Development Life Cycle.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.

Experience: Candidates should have 2-4 years of industry experience in software testing, including website applications.

Technical Skills: Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment is necessary. Experience with the QA process and the Software Development Life Cycle is also required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Java, and SQL is desired.
  • Experience with Selenium is highly desired.
