Job Description
We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our dynamic MAPS Electronic Trading Data Services team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in real-time KDB+ applications and a proven ability to support and enhance data platforms that process large-scale, time-sensitive market data.
Responsibilities:
- Provide production support for multiple KDB+ applications serving Global Markets across asset classes.
- Develop and maintain Q code and utilities for data ingestion, querying, and analytics.
- Troubleshoot real-time and batch data issues, ensuring stability and performance at terabyte scale.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver solutions.
- Follow ITIL practices for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Manage work items and releases using Jira and related tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience developing or supporting KDB+ applications, or completion of Level 3 QDeveloper certification from KX Academy.
- Proficiency in the Q programming language.
- Experience with real-time KDB+ systems processing large data volumes.
- Comfortable working in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills for user support and stakeholder collaboration.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting electronic trading or market data platforms.
- Hands-on work with Jira for planning, incident tracking, and change workflows.
