Principle Java Application Developer and tech lead, VPGlobal Market Electronic Trading Platform DevelopmentGlobal Link, a division of State Street Global Market, is a leader in providing electronic trading platforms for multiple asset classes. Our platforms are used by 19 of the top 20 largest asset managers to execute trades, as well as manage post trade settlement processes.
The team develops a sophisticated electronic trading system handling hundreds of billions of dollars in AUM. The product is built on Java, Node.js and Oracle on the server side and modern web technologies on the front end. The product suite is expanding both vertically with new features and also horizontally into other businesses and new asset classes. It has an event-driven microservices architecture and runs 100% in AWS/Kubernetes.
The ideal candidate is a principle Java developer with team lead experience.
What you will be responsible for:
- Lead a small development team to define high-level technical requirements and architecture for back-end services.
- Supervise, train and manage your team.
- Develop new application features and enhance existing ones.
- Develop relevant documentation and diagrams.
- Work with other teams for deployment, testing, training and production support.
- Integration with front-end development/services.
- Ensure that development, coding, privacy and security standards are adhered to at all times.
Qualifications:- Principle Java developer with excellent JEE, Spring Boot, messaging and database development experience.
- 3+ years' experience leading development team is required.
- Knowledge and experience of microservices architecture and Kubernetes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and experience of real-time electronic trading platforms is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and experience with agentic AI is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and work ethics.
- Passionate about professional software development.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $222,500 Annual
