Position: Aerospace Supplier Quality Engineer

Type: 6 Months Contract (possible extension/conversion)
Location: Northridge, Los Angeles, CA (fully on-site)
Day to day:
Providing DFM feedback and generating product data (BOMs, layouts, test requirements).
Managing technical risks and supporting scaling from prototype to volume production.
Conducting supplier process reviews for circuit cards, sensors, and avionics modules.
Driving quality readiness through PPAP, FAIR, and onsite supplier audits.
Owning Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and the SCAR process for purchased goods.
Must haves:
7+ years (Senior-level) experience in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Engineering at an EMS or Aerospace company
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience with PCBAs for aerospace, defense, or aviation applications.
Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and performing First Article Inspections to AS9102.
Familiarity with ITAR, FAR/DFARS, and quality clauses in Statements of Work (SOWs).
Experience with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) and MIL-STD-810.
Competence with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers).
Ability to travel up to 50% to supplier and manufacturing locations.
Experience with software tools like SAP, Teamcenter, Altium, or Jira.

Salary and Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $60 - $70 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
