BI / Tableau Administrator Location: Hartford, CT   Hybrid
Work Arrangement: 80% Remote / 20% Onsite
Onsite Requirement: 1 day per week in Hartford, CT

Position Overview

Our client, is seeking an experienced BI / Tableau Administrator to support enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience administering Tableau Cloud, supporting Salesforce data and environments, and troubleshooting Azure SQL Database and data integration platforms. Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) is highly desirable.

This role will support business-critical reporting platforms, platform administration, incident management, troubleshooting, monitoring, deployments, user support, and data validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Tableau Cloud sites, projects, users, groups, permissions, and security.
• Manage Tableau environments across Development, Test, and Production.
• Monitor Tableau platform health, extract refreshes, subscriptions, and scheduled jobs.
• Troubleshoot Tableau performance, connectivity, access, and reporting issues.
• Support report developers, analysts, and business users.
• Deploy and promote reports across different environments.
• Support and troubleshoot Azure SQL Database environments used for enterprise reporting.
• Investigate reporting/data issues and perform data validation.
• Monitor database connectivity, query performance, and data refresh processes.
• Perform SQL/T-SQL troubleshooting and assist with query performance optimization.
• Monitor and support Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Troubleshoot data-load failures and data-quality issues.
• Support data pipelines loading Salesforce and other source-system data into Azure SQL.
• Identify root causes of integration and reporting issues.
• Support MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) environments and integrations affecting reporting platforms.
• Collaborate with development, integration, architecture, and business teams during incidents and deployments.
• Participate in SDLC activities and maintain technical documentation.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members.
• Contribute to architecture, design, estimation, and resource-planning discussions.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in BI, Tableau administration, application support, data/reporting, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau Cloud administration and support.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, and data design best practices.
• Experience supporting enterprise dashboards, reporting, and analytics platforms.
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database or similar relational databases.
• Experience with Salesforce user administration, including:
• User setup and deactivation
• Roles and profiles
• Permission sets
• Sharing rules
• Access/security management
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with environment management and deployment processes.
• Ability to investigate user-access, data, reporting, and application issues.
• Experience working throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, proactive, self-directed, and able to drive work from requirements through implementation.
• Ability to collaborate with architects, developers, business users, and management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Experience with MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) or MuleSoft integrations.
• Experience working with Salesforce data and reporting environments.
• Microsoft Azure experience.
• Experience with enterprise BI/reporting administration.
• Experience with Tableau performance monitoring and optimization.

Additional Requirements

• Candidate must be local to the Hartford, CT area or willing to commute/relocate.
