About the OpportunityTEKsystems is partnering with Hawaiian Telcom to hire an experienced
Sales Engineer to support the continued expansion of Hawaiian Telcom's fiber network across Hawaii. This role serves as a critical bridge between customers, sales teams, and technical teams by designing technology solutions that align with business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.

ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & Architecture- Meet with customers to understand business goals, technical requirements, and operational challenges.
- Design and present customized technology solutions that align with customer needs.
- Ensure proposed solutions integrate effectively with existing customer environments.
- Translate customer requirements into technical recommendations and implementation plans.
Sales Support- Serve as the technical liaison between customers and the sales organization.
- Support the creation of proposals, technical documentation, and solution presentations.
- Participate in customer meetings, product demonstrations, and technical discussions.
- Help articulate the value and feasibility of proposed solutions.
Customer Needs Assessment- Conduct comprehensive assessments of customer environments and requirements.
- Identify opportunities to leverage Hawaiian Telcom technologies and services.
- Collaborate with sales and product teams to develop tailored solutions.
Technical Leadership- Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal sales teams.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and updates within Hawaiian Telcom's technology portfolio.
- Educate stakeholders on solution capabilities, architecture, and best practices.
Project Coordination & Post-Sales Support- Partner with project managers and delivery teams to ensure successful solution execution.
- Support the transition from pre-sales to implementation activities.
- Provide ongoing customer support and technical guidance throughout the post-sales lifecycle.
Required QualificationsExperience- Minimum 12 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Network Architect, or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Proven track record designing and supporting enterprise technology solutions.
- Extensive experience gathering customer requirements and translating them into business-focused technology solutions.
Education- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
Technical Expertise- Strong in:
- Network architecture and design
- Cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
