The Position:
Client: Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC)
Position Title: PTC - PMO Project Manager Exception (798454)
Location: Hybrid; Remote Off-Site and On-Site in Middletown, PA
Duration: Initial term through 06/30/2026 (+ Annual Renewal in 1-Year Terms)
Note: This is a hybrid, mostly remote off-site. Candidates must currently reside with a reasonable commuting distance (1.5-hours/75-miles +/-) of Middletown, PA. In addition to the PA ePATCH background check, PTC requires a National Criminal Background Check prior to engagement start.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) is seeking a PMO Project Management Resource. The selected Candidate will perform the following duties;
- Manages and coordinates the activities of internal and/or external staff involved in multiple IT projects of varying complexity.
- Develops and maintains project plans and other artifacts as required using PTC or other established project management standards, procedures, templates, and methodologies.
- Coordinates with business owners and other analysts to define and refine the project scope.
- Performs project management duties through the entire project lifecycle, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing.
- Conducts lessons learned sessions during and after projects to identify recommendations for improvement.
- Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.
- Adheres to the PTC PMO Playbook and referenced artifacts.
The Skills and Experience:
- 5+ Years: Expertise in project management of projects of various size and subject matter including but not limited to integration, scope, schedule, cost, communication, vendor, and risk planning and management
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- ITIL / ITSM practices and methodologies experience
