UX Content Designer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Columbus, OH

Contract: W2 only, 1-3 year contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time with either the client or CEI

Pay: $40/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match


Overview

We are seeking a UX Content Designer to join a highly collaborative team focused on delivering clear, effective, and user-centered digital experiences. This role will focus on creating and optimizing content within the money movement space, helping users better understand and navigate financial products and services. The ideal candidate will bring strong UX writing and content design experience, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into intuitive, actionable language.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead content creation and act as subject matter expert within product design
  • Partner with designers to apply UX writing to established products
  • Identify user problems and craft clear, effective content solutions
  • Collaborate with writers to maintain consistent content guidelines and language
  • Conduct user research (test plans, interview guides, scripts, analysis)
  • Support design process by integrating content strategy
  • Partner with product managers on legal, risk, and compliance reviews
  • Present and explain content decisions to non-experts

Required Skills

  • 2–4 years UX writing / UX content design experience
  • Copywriting and editing expertise
  • Digital content delivery experience
  • Experience with Figma and/or Mural
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Experience working in regulated environments (legal, compliance, risk — e.g., healthcare, finance)

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (experience prioritized)

  • Agile methodology
  • Content strategy experience
  • Design thinking knowledge
  • Digital communications experience
  • UX design exposure
  • Banking, investment, or financial industry experience
  • Insurance or healthcare experience
