Epsilon C5I (, focused on software development and systems engineering for complex command, control, intelligence and combat systems, is seeking a Cyber Security Engineering SME with a minimum of 5 years' experience for work in San Diego, CA. Duties and Responsibilities: - Plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network.
- Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure.
- Respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent.
- A minimum of DoD Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification or eligibility is required for this position.
- Five (5) years of notable experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and professional demeanor.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Effective team player with highly proficient customer service skills.
- Flexible and able to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Candidate must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI access.
Additional preferred qualifications: - Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Linux+
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification or Equivalent
Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $135,000-185,000 annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
