We are seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Manager to oversee the maintenance, procurement, and efficient operation of company equipment at our Hialeah, FL location. This on-site role involves managing equipment inventory, coordinating repair and maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines. The Heavy Equipment Manager will collaborate with teams to optimize equipment usage and maintain records of equipment performance and costs.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
As a Heavy Equipment Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing the maintenance and repair of all heavy equipment within the organization.
2. Implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment longevity and minimize downtime.
3. Documenting all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate.
4. Analyzing equipment failure trends and developing strategies to reduce such incidents.
5. Coordinating with project managers and other team members to ensure equipment availability for all projects.
6. Ensuring compliance with all safety and operational procedures related to equipment use.
7. Training and supervising staff on the correct use and maintenance of heavy equipment.
8. Reporting on equipment status, maintenance activities, and other relevant aspects to senior management.
9. Collaborating with procurement teams to source and acquire new equipment as needed.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the role of Permanent Heavy Equipment Manager will possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
3. Proven experience in implementing and managing preventive maintenance programs.
4. Strong documentation skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze equipment failure trends and develop effective solutions.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and supervise staff.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report effectively to senior management.
8. A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
9. Relevant certifications or qualifications in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field will be highly regarded.
