Description:

searching for a Senior .NET Application Lead Developer to provide technical leadership for application migration and modernization efforts following a recent tax accounting system implementation. This role reports directly to the IT Director and is responsible for assessing existing MVC based and Entity Framework applications, defining architecture recommendations, and leading hands-on development work.

 

This is a delivery focused role requiring both architectural judgment and direct coding responsibility in a fast paced, high visibility environment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Review existing MVC based applications and identify required migration or modernization work desired.

Define and recommend application architecture patterns and technical standards appropriate to the current environment desired.

Break technical work into milestones, deliverables, and development tasks desired.

Provide development estimates and support project planning activities desired.

Lead hands on development of .NET applications and APIs (Rest & GraphQL) desired.

Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, indexes, and queries desired.

Ensure best practices with Entity Framework code first and data access patterns desired.

Develop and enhance front end utilizing react and prime react components desired.

Collaborate with business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical designs desired.

Work closely with the development team, business analysts, and IT Project Manager to define scope and sequencing desired.

Mentor and support other developers through code reviews and troubleshooting desired.

Support development workflows using GitHub Enterprise desired.

Communicate progress, risks, and technical recommendations clearly to the IT Director and project leadership desired.

Perform other related duties as assigned desired.

 

Requirements:

10 years Professional .NET development experience required.

Demonstrated experience taking ownership of existing applications and codebases required.

Deep expertise with C#, .NET, and Entity Framework required.

Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs and using Grahl required.

Advanced SQL Server expertise including stored procedures and indexing strategies required.

Proven experience using GitHub Enterprise required.

Demonstrated experience leading development efforts and mentoring other developers required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Experience migrating or modernizing legacy MVC applications highly desired.

Experience with React, Vite, and NodeJS highly desired.

Experience stabilizing or improving applications in active production environments highly desired.

Experience working in public sector or highly visible environments highly desired.

Experience supporting financial, tax, or property related systems highly desired.
