Job DetailsKey Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full stack applications across frontend, backend, APIs, and infrastructure layers
- Develop backend services using Python (e.g., Django, Flask) and scalable API architecture (REST/GraphQL)
- Build modern, responsive frontend applications using JavaScript frameworks (React, Node)
- Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including microservices and serverless components
- Partner with product, data, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Lead technical design decisions, ensuring performance, scalability, and security across applications
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and DevOps processes to support high-quality releases
- Optimize system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve application reliability
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in full stack software development
- Strong hands-on experience with:
o Python backend development
o JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, or similar)
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with modern web architectures
- Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and distributed systems
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL) and data modeling
- Familiarity with DevOps / infrastructure concepts:
o CI/CD pipelines
o Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
o Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, testing, and scalable architecture
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within reinsurance, insurance, or financial services
- Familiarity with data-intensive systems, analytics platforms, or risk/underwriting systems
- Exposure to microservices architecture, event-driven systems, or real-time data processing
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Prior experience in a technical leadership or senior-level individual contributor role
