Senior IT Professional – Infrastructure
Overview
The Senior IT Professional – Infrastructure serves as the technical lead for daily operations, maintenance, upgrades, and uptime of all data center–hosted infrastructure components and applications. Working closely with the IT Lead, this role also functions as an assistant solutions architect for infrastructure-related projects. The position is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate implementation of solutions, recommending and enforcing standards, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
This role requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, deep hardware architecture knowledge, and extensive troubleshooting experience. Familiarity with system management and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Cisco Intersight is essential. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are key to success.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Support
Lead day-to-day operations of data center infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and 24×7×365 availability.
Triage and resolve infrastructure issues to support near?100% uptime.
Provide onsite or remote diagnosis and resolution of hardware and software issues.
Manage moderate-to-complex service desk requests, escalating when necessary.
Participate in an on-call rotation and maintain clear communication with users at all organizational levels.
Maintenance & Technical Leadership
Oversee and execute moderately complex analytical and technical assignments.
Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned infrastructure systems.
Plan, manage, and implement infrastructure upgrades and projects.
Perform preventive maintenance and monitor hardware, software, and network systems.
Diagnose issues and collaborate with vendors and internal departments.
Support and maintain servers, storage, operating systems, messaging platforms, databases, network configurations, and other infrastructure services.
Administration & Documentation
Develop and maintain emergency response and recovery procedures for data center operations.
Coordinate infrastructure-related change management activities.
Prepare clear documentation, including installation, configuration, and operational procedures.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, system changes, and asset inventories.
Assist in developing standards, processes, and best practices across multiple data centers.
Provide or coordinate training for system users.
Experience & Qualifications
Required
Minimum of six (6) years of experience supporting IT infrastructure.
Strong troubleshooting skills and in-depth hardware architecture knowledge.
Experience with system monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Intersight).
Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience developing standards and best practices across
multi-site data centers.
Experience with change and incident management processes.
Networking and cabling best practices (helpful but not required).
