Software Engineer

Description

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to support the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of business applications in Martinez, California. This Long-term Contract Software Engineerposition is ideal for someone who can manage the full development lifecycle, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver reliable web-based and integrated software solutions. The Software Engineerrole includes hands-on programming, technical analysis, testing, deployment, and post-release support across a range of platforms and technologies.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain web applications, desktop-style client applications, APIs, reports, and data exchange solutions that support business operations.

Partner with stakeholders to define needs, translate functional goals into technical plans, and provide effort estimates and delivery timelines.

Oversee assigned development work from planning through release, including task tracking, technical documentation, testing coordination, and deployment activities.

Develop and support software using technologies such as C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web development frameworks.

Create and maintain system integrations between third-party SaaS platforms and custom or vendor-supported applications.

Produce data extracts and reporting solutions, including work related to SQL Server Reporting Services and other reporting tools.

Participate in code reviews, validate application quality through testing, and resolve issues identified during development and production support.

Contribute to specialized platform development efforts such as ServiceNow applications, modules, implementations, and workflow enhancements.

Support advanced solution delivery in areas such as API development, provider directory-related integrations, and the use of AI within applications and business processes.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software, web, or application development roles.
Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ASP.NET, and general web application development.
Background developing and supporting applications with C#, VB.NET, or closely related Microsoft technologies.
Experience creating reports and data solutions using SSRS or similar reporting platforms.
Working knowledge of ServiceNow application development, implementation, or module configuration.
Ability to gather requirements, communicate effectively with business stakeholders, and manage technical work through the full project lifecycle.
Familiarity with third-party system integrations, API development, and structured testing and deployment practices.
Exposure to additional technologies such as Node.js, Python, Angular, React, Java, PowerShell, MySQL, Redis, or Agile delivery environments is preferred.
