Position: Network Optimization Specialist

Location: Remote

Duration : Full-time

Rate Range: $100-120k

Position Overview:

On behalf of a client in the Materials Handling and Integration industry, Apex Systems is seeking a highly analytical, client-facing Network Modeling Consultant to join our consulting team. This role is part of the first wave of engagement with new customers-helping them optimize, consolidate, or expand their distribution networks following major business changes such as acquisitions or rapid growth.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in supply chain modeling platforms, strong data engineering capability, and the ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear business recommendations for both technical and executive audiences.

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:

Typical work week

• A lot of excel, SQL, data analysis, ETL, Python, PowerBi
• PowerPoint, presentations
• Sitting on meetings with clients, explaining what was done with data

Some travel / very minimal

• Depending on client / travel once or twice for a project

Selling Points for Candidates:

Requirements:

• Modeling platform experience - Cosmic Frog, Supply Chain Guru, Supply Chain Architect, or Sophus
• Soft skills - this role will be client-facing
• Data modeling, SQL, Data Analysis, ETL, Python
