Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer / Full Stack Developer to support mission-critical applications for the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF). The developer will work on existing custom Salesforce applications and participate in the SDLC for the next-generation CT-KIND system.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Apex, OOP, Lightning, Visualforce, SOQL, design patterns, and full-stack web development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and support Salesforce applications.
• Develop using Salesforce Apex, Lightning Pages/Components, Visualforce, and SOQL.
• Apply object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support.
• Analyze requirements and provide technical solutions for application integration.
• Support existing custom Salesforce applications and new CT-KIND development initiatives.
• Work with system integrators and internal teams to support knowledge transfer and ongoing application maintenance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot application issues and develop solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced developers.
• Work independently and proactively from requirements through implementation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of overall professional IT/development experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Strong experience with Salesforce Apex and OOP.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce design patterns.
• Experience with Lightning and Visualforce.
• Strong knowledge of SOQL and SQL.
• Experience with .NET OOP and SOA.
• Experience with end-to-end web development.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and abstract-thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive projects from requirements through implementation.
• Experience mentoring junior or less-experienced developers is preferred.
