Details:
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise data center modernization and migration programs. This role owns the full-stack infrastructure lifecycle spanning storage, compute, virtualization, and backup/cyber recovery ensuring seamless integration with minimal business disruption.
This is a client-facing leadership role that blends strong project governance with deep technical infrastructure awareness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Storage & Data Management
- Lead design and implementation of enterprise SAN/NAS solutions (Dell PowerStore, Pure Storage, NetApp).
- Manage large-scale data migrations across:
- Block, File, and Object storage
- Ensure data integrity, performance validation, and minimal downtime.
- Coordinate with application and DB teams to reduce business impact during cutovers.
2. Server & Compute Infrastructure
Oversee deployment of:
- Physical rack-mount servers
- Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) platforms (Nutanix, Dell VxRail)
- Lead hardware refresh programs, including:
- Firmware upgrades
- Lifecycle planning
- Rack & Stack logistics
- Coordinate with DC operations for power, cooling, and space readiness.
3. Hypervisor & Virtualization
Manage implementation and upgrades of:
- VMware vSphere
- Microsoft Hyper-V
- Nutanix AHV
- Lead workload migrations:
- P2V (Physical to Virtual)
- V2V (Virtual to Virtual)
- Ensure cluster stability, performance baselines, and post-migration validation.
4. Backup, DR & Cyber Recovery
Drive deployment of data protection platforms:
- Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity
- Ensure compliance with client-defined:
- RTO (Recovery Time Objective)
- RPO (Recovery Point Objective)
- Immutable backup and ransomware recovery standards
- Validate DR testing and cyber resilience procedures.
Project & Governance Responsibilities
Own full lifecycle delivery using Migration Factory model:
- Discovery → Wave Planning → Execution → Hypercare
- Maintain and manage:
- RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
- Change control processes
- Status reporting & stakeholder dashboards
- Create and manage:
- SOWs (Statements of Work)
- Resource plans and financial tracking
- Lead vendor and partner coordination.
Soft Skills & Leadership
- Conflict Resolution: Aligning client technical leads and engineering teams.
- Executive Communication: Translate technical risks (e.g., storage latency) into business impact.
- Risk Management: Proactive RAID log ownership.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong written & verbal communication with executives, customers, and partners.
- Decision-Making Under Pressure: Managing high-stakes migration windows.
