What You'll Do

Kirkland & Ellis is seeking an experienced .NET Applications Developer II to design, develop, and deliver custom business solutions using the Microsoft technology stack. You'll collaborate with business and IT teams to build, integrate, and support applications that power our legal and administrative operations.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and implement scalable .NET applications that meet business needs.
  • Work with business owners, IT, and vendors on integrations and enhancements.
  • Lead small projects and contribute to larger initiatives following SDLC best practices.
  • Provide Level 3 production support and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

What You'll Bring

  • 6+ years of software development experience (5+ years in web-based .NET).
  • Strong knowledge of C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET 8, SQL Server, and Microservices.
  • Experience with Entity Framework, WCF, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, and Dependency Injection.
  • Solid grasp of SOA, TDD, SOLID principles, and Agile development.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools, Docker, Azure DevOps, and Angular.

Compensation

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. Compensation Range:

Chicago: $152,000 - 159,500
