Critical Environment Facility Support Engineer - Electrical (Data Center / Critical Infrastructure)Role SummaryThe CE Facility Support Engineer - Electrical III supports the safe operation, monitoring, and maintenance of critical electrical infrastructure within a high-availability data center environment. This role works under supervision to perform electrical rounds, preventative maintenance, power operations, and emergency response activities while ensuring full compliance with safety, security, and operational procedures. The technician supports UPS systems, PDUs, RPPs, batteries, and system controls, while coordinating with vendors and maintaining continuous uptime for critical loads.
Key Responsibilities - Perform daily electrical equipment rounds and log operational data including temperatures, voltages, currents, and system status
- Monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems under supervision to identify abnormal operating conditions
- Assist with emergency monitoring and response using established Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs)
- Escort and oversee third-party contractors, vendors, and service providers within secure data center environments
- Execute preventive maintenance activities on electrical infrastructure, including:
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) quarterly and annual PMs
- Battery preventative maintenance
- System control panel inspections and servicing
- Support safe energization of cabinets within colocation (Colo) environments
- Perform controlled power operations such as:
- Remote Power Panel (RPP) single-source shutdowns while maintaining "N" critical load
- Power Distribution Unit (PDU) shutdowns for meter replacement
- Power Interruption Testing (PIT)
- Master controller shutdowns and replacements
- Assist in troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and calibrating instrumentation and sensors
- Support electrical infrastructure across a data center campus consisting of large-scale and satellite facilities
- Utilize Electrical Power Monitoring Systems / Building Management Systems (EPMS / BMS) for system visibility and alarms
- Strictly adhere to all safety procedures, NFPA 70E practices, and physical security policies
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all planned maintenance and electrical work activities

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
