Summary

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in developing and implementing automated test solutions for embedded hardware and software platforms. This role involves working closely with hardware, software, and platform engineering teams to develop validation frameworks, troubleshoot complex system-level issues, and ensure the reliability and performance of next-generation computing devices.

Candidates should have strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, and Bash, along with experience working in Linux environments, Android platforms, hardware validation, and continuous integration workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated system-level validation and testing frameworks for embedded platforms and Android-based devices.
  • Develop test scripts and automation solutions using Python, Bash, C, and C++.
  • Perform hardware and software integration testing, including validation of processors, GPUs, TPUs, and other silicon components.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation strategies to evaluate system functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Conduct hardware-level and software-level debugging to identify root causes of failures and collaborate with engineering teams on resolutions.
  • Work with embedded Linux, Android, and other operating system environments to develop and execute validation tests.
  • Build and maintain test infrastructure, including lab setups, test fixtures, development boards, and remote testing environments.
  • Integrate automated test solutions into continuous integration (CI) and software build pipelines.
  • Develop reusable, scalable, and robust test automation scripts across multiple hardware platforms and software distributions.
  • Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and generate technical reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams across hardware, software, silicon, and platform development.
  • Support deployment, qualification, and release of production-ready test packages.
Required Technical Skills
Programming & Automation
  • Programming experience in Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Bash/Shell scripting.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
  • Experience developing automated testing frameworks and validation scripts.
Embedded Systems & Hardware
  • Experience in embedded systems development and hardware/software integration.
  • Understanding of system-level testing and silicon validation.
  • Experience working with processors, SoCs, GPUs, TPUs, or other hardware components.
  • Familiarity with hardware debugging, test equipment, and laboratory environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on Google Pixel or Android device engineering projects.
  • Experience with silicon validation and semiconductor testing.
  • Exposure to GPU, TPU, AI accelerator, modem, or processor validation.
  • Experience with hardware interfaces and communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C.
  • Familiarity with Git, APIs, test dashboards, and data visualization tools.
  • Experience working with Raspberry Pi, FPGA, development boards, or embedded hardware platforms.
