Engagement Details:
- Location: Fully remote (work standard EST/CST hours)
- Duration: 6–12 months, strong potential to extend
- Experience: 10–15+ years in BI/Analytics; 2–3+ recent years leading Tableau/BI teams
- Domain: Recent, hands-on Wealth Management/Financial Services experience is required

Role Summary:
Lead end-to-end Tableau and BI initiatives for a wealth management analytics portfolio. Combine hands-on dashboard engineering with leadership of standards, governance, and stakeholder engagement. Partner with business and technology leaders to design scalable, governed data products using Tableau, SQL, Python, and Databricks, underpinned by strong dimensional modeling practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own the Tableau delivery lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
- Establish and enforce Tableau governance, performance, and certification standards (data sources, dashboards, metrics)
- Build high-performance dashboards and data sources; optimize extracts, LODs, and query performance
- Lead BI roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, and release management in an Agile environment
- Define and implement dimensional data models (star schemas, fact/dimension, SCD) for analytics scalability
- Implement data security and compliance controls, including row-level security and access management
- Collaborate with executives and business owners (Wealth/Advisory, Investments, Risk/Compliance) to translate use cases into actionable analytics
- Mentor and guide BI developers; conduct code/design reviews and develop best practices/playbooks
- Integrate Databricks/Lakehouse, SQL, and Python for data preparation, automation, and advanced analytics enablement
- Partner with data governance teams to improve data quality, lineage, and documentation

Required Qualifications:
- 10–15+ years in BI/Analytics with 2–3+ recent years as a Tableau/BI Lead
- Demonstrated, recent Wealth Management or broader Financial Services analytics experience
- Expert-level Tableau (Desktop/Cloud/Server): dashboards, workbooks, data sources, extracts, admin concepts
- Proven Tableau governance and performance tuning; creation and maintenance of certified data sources
- Advanced SQL with strong query optimization skills across large datasets
- Python for data analysis, automation, and integration tasks
- Hands-on Databricks/Lakehouse experience
- Strong dimensional modeling (star schema, facts/dimensions, SCD) and semantic layer design
- Data governance and security expertise, including RLS and enterprise access controls
- Executive stakeholder management; ability to engage VP/C-suite and drive consensus
- Team leadership and mentoring; ability to set BI strategy and deliver through others while remaining hands-on

Preferred/Bonus:
- Tableau Desktop/Server/Cloud certifications
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses
- Knowledge of CI/CD, version control (Git), and DevOps practices for BI
- Familiarity with metadata/catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation) and data quality frameworks
- Exposure to financial data domains such as portfolio analytics, performance/attribution, client reporting, advisory dashboards, AUM/flows
- Experience operating in regulated environments with strong audit and controls

Success Measures:
- Adoption of certified Tableau data sources and standardized dashboards
- Measurable performance improvements (load times, query efficiency)
- Clear BI roadmap execution with on-time, high-quality releases
- Positive executive stakeholder feedback and increased analytics self-service
- Uplift in team capability through mentoring and best-practice enablement
