Job Description:

• Design, implement, and maintain automated SD-WAN solutions, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security across a distributed network infrastructure.
• Develop and manage automation scripts and tools to streamline SD-WAN provisioning, monitoring, and configuration management.
• Leverage network automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Python, REST APIs) to reduce manual tasks and accelerate deployment cycles.
• Integrate SD-WAN platforms with existing ITSM, monitoring, and orchestration systems.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and operations teams to define and execute SD-WAN automation strategies aligned with VA''s digital transformation goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the SD-WAN fabric, including connectivity, routing, policy enforcement, and performance optimization.
• Juniper MIST AI certification
• Juniper VXLAN certification
• Knowledge and experience transforming from Cisco LAN to Juniper VXLAN

Required Qualifications:

• Must have proven experience as a SDWAN technical SME that also has experience in designing automation to roll out SDWAN.
• Proven experience with leading SD-WAN platforms (e.g., Cisco Viptela, VMware Velocloud, Fortinet, Silver Peak).
• Strong background in network automation scripting using tools like Python, Ansible, Terraform, and RESTful APIs.
• Deep understanding of IP routing protocols, VPN technologies, QoS, and network segmentation.
• Experience integrating SD-WAN with enterprise network security, cloud services, and hybrid infrastructures.
• Familiarity with federal IT environments or similar large-scale regulated networks.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
