Compensation: $90K-$100K/year
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Shifts Available: 12:30pm - 9:30pm (2nd shift)
Type: Long-term contract with potential for permanent hire

Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inspection & Assembly Technician to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in small electronic assembly and inspection, particularly with PCBs, hard drives, and chips. You will work in a state-of-the-art cleanroom manufacturing environment, assembling and inspecting highly technical electronic components while ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and inspect small electronic components, including PCBs, hard drives, and chips, in a high-volume production environment
  • Operate and maintain precision inspection equipment such as CMM, OMM, AOI, microscopes, and metrology tools
  • Perform quality control checks and functional testing on electronic assemblies
  • Document defects, support corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to resolve issues and improve product quality
  • Adhere to cleanroom protocols, including Class 10,000 requirements and full bunny suit, while maintaining strict quality standards
  • Assist with inspection methodologies and process improvements as needed

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in electronic assembly and inspection, with a focus on PCBs, hard drives, chips, and related components
  • Prior experience working in a cleanroom environment (Class 10,000 or ISO 7)
  • IPC-A-610 certification or willingness to obtain; Six Sigma, Lean, or SMT-related certifications are a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related scientific field preferred
  • Experience at Tier 1 contract manufacturers or OEMs such as Flex, Jabil, Celestica, Sanmina, Plexus, Apple, Google, Meta, Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with MS Office and common enterprise tools
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and comfort working in a fast-paced production environment
