Job Title: Microsoft Fabric Real-Time Intelligence (RTI) Architect
Location- Houston, Los Angeles, and New Jersey
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fabric RTI Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale real-time analytics platforms using Microsoft Fabric. The role focuses on event-driven architecture, streaming data solutions, and real-time decision systems.
The architect will define strategy, establish best practices, and guide engineering teams in building low-latency, high-throughput analytics systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Architecture Design Design enterprise-grade real-time analytics architectures Define patterns for: Event ingestion Stream processing
Real-time storage & serving Create scalable and resilient architectures using: Fabric Real-Time Intelligence Eventstreams Kusto databases
2. Real-Time Data Platform Strategy Build roadmap for real-time intelligence adoption Drive platform standardization across business units
Evaluate and integrate: Azure Event Hubs / Kafka IoT platforms External streaming systems
3. Streaming & Event-Driven Architecture Design event-driven systems Implement best practices for: Event schema design Exactly-once / at-least-once processing Architect solutions for:High-volume telemetry Log analytics Near-real-time decisioning
4. Data Modeling & Storage Design Design data models for: Time-series data Streaming analytics Architect storage layer using: KQL databases
Fabric Lakehouse / Delta Define data retention, partitioning, and indexing strategies
5. Advanced Analytics & Visualization Guide development of: Real-time dashboards (Power BI / Fabric dashboards) Alerting & anomaly detection frameworks Enable operational intelligence systems
6. Performance Optimization & Scalability Optimize: Ingestion throughput Query latency (KQL optimization) Design systems for:
Horizontal scalability Fault tolerance and recovery
7. Governance, Security & Compliance Define enterprise governance standards: Data security (RBAC, Purview integration) Data quality and lineage
Implement monitoring frameworks
8. Cross-Platform Integration Integrate RTI with: Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse Synapse, Databricks Power BI ecosystem Enable hybrid and multi-cloud architectures (if needed)
9. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Provide architectural leadership to data engineering teams Work with business stakeholders to:
Translate use cases into real-time solutions Conduct design reviews and enforce standards
Required Skills
Core Expertise Microsoft Fabric (especially RTI) KQL (Kusto Query Language) – Expert level Event-driven architecture design
Streaming systems architecture
Data Engineering & Streaming Experience with:Azure Event Hubs / KafkaReal-time ingestion & processing pipelines
Deep understanding of: Windowing Event time processing Stream joins
Analytics & BI Power BI real-time dashboards Operational analytics Time-series analysis
Cloud & Architecture Azure Data Platform expertise Microservices & distributed systems CI/CD for data platforms
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep preferred)
Programming & Tools
Strong SQL / KQL Python / Spark (good to have) Monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft certifications:
Azure Data Engineer / Fabric Analytics Engineer
Experience in:
IoT analytics
Fraud detection
Observability platforms
Knowledge of:
AI/ML integration with streaming data
Real-time feature engineering
Experience Required
12+ years overall experience in data/analytics
5+ years in streaming / real-time systems
Proven track record in architecting large-scale data platforms
