What You'll Do:

Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers responsible for complex customer programs.
  • Manage a team of approximately six direct reports, with potential for future growth.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, evaluate, and develop project management talent while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Build a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on execution and customer satisfaction.

Program & Project Management:

  • Direct multiple concurrent development and manufacturing transfer projects from kickoff through production.
  • Establish project plans, milestones, resource requirements, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure successful introduction of products into high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively resolve schedule, cost, and technical issues.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and executive-level updates to internal stakeholders and customers.

Manufacturing & Operations:

  • Lead product launches into domestic and international manufacturing facilities.
  • Support both new product introduction (NPI) and contract manufacturing programs.
  • Improve project execution processes and standardize best practices across the organization.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure production readiness, quality, and successful ramp-up.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure projects comply with applicable quality management systems and customer requirements.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams throughout development and manufacturing transfer activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading technical or manufacturing-focused programs.
  • Demonstrated success bringing products into high-volume manufacturing (annual production in the thousands to tens of thousands of units).
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering and operations teams through product commercialization.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and employee development.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and executive presentation skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with global manufacturing operations, including offshore production partners.
  • Background supporting both product development and contract manufacturing programs.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Experience with ISO 13485 or regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of supply chain, procurement, manufacturing operations, quality systems, and engineering change management.
  • Financial acumen including project budgets, forecasting, and resource planning.
