Business Analyst II

Role Overview

The Business Analyst II serves as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements. This role focuses heavily on Guidewire ClaimCenter, system integrations, and driving business and system changes through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and functional teams to analyze, document, and clarify change requests submitted to IT
  • Assess the impact of business process changes on technical requirements, system integrations, and downstream dependencies
  • Collaborate with solution architects and developers on system design and integration planning
  • Own requirements artifacts including Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), use cases, technical requirements, wireframes, and system flow diagrams
  • Drive initiatives through the full SDLC, ensuring solutions are well-documented, developed, tested, and successfully deployed
  • Act as the primary liaison between business leads, development teams, QA, and support teams
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and go?live activities as needed
  • Work with QA teams to ensure test cases are accurate and cover both primary and alternative system paths
  • Assist Operations teams by triaging production issues prior to development escalation
  • Develop deep expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter functionality and system implementations

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst supporting Guidewire ClaimCenter initiatives
  • Strong understanding of the claims lifecycle, integrations, out?of?the?box (OOTB) functionality, product models, and business rules
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting incidents and system issues in production environments
  • Proven experience working in agile delivery frameworks
  • Advanced skills in writing detailed requirements documentation, including SRS, use cases, user stories, and wireframes
  • Hands-on experience using defect and ticketing tools such as Jira, Rally, or similar platforms
  • Comfortable working in cross?functional teams with competing priorities
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills to align stakeholders on requirements
  • Proficient using web browser development and debugging tools
