Our dynamic Engineering firm is seeking an experienced and innovative Permanent Controls Engineer to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a passion for technology and want to work on cutting-edge projects. The successful candidate will be part of a team that designs and implements advanced control systems for our clients. The role requires a deep understanding of PLC or HMI programming. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and test control systems using PLC Programming.
  • Analyze system requirements and propose innovative solutions for control systems.
  • Develop and implement software for automation processes.
  • Collaborate with project teams to design and implement control systems for our clients.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of control systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users.
  • Maintain documentation of control systems and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in control systems and automation technology.
  • Evaluate and improve existing control systems for increased efficiency and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems engineering.
  • PLC or HMI programming experience
  • Proficiency working with industrial communication networks such as ControlNet, DeviceNet
  • Familiarity with SCADA platforms such as Wonderware or Ignition
  • Strong understanding of automation and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of safety and performance standards.
  • Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in control systems and automation technology.
