Senior Software Engineer
Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to serve as a hands-on player/coach, responsible for building and evolving high-end custom software that supports core business operations. This role combines deep technical execution with mentorship and technical leadership, working closely with product and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain custom, business-critical software solutions
Act as a hands-on senior contributor while mentoring and guiding other engineers
Lead technical design and architecture decisions across front-end, back-end, and APIs
Develop applications using Node.js, Vue.js, and modern JavaScript libraries
Build and maintain scalable, secure APIs and integrations
Deploy, operate, and optimize applications in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Promote best practices related to code quality, performance, testing, and scalability

Required Qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including Node.js and modern front-end frameworks (Vue.js preferred)
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform
Proven ability to function in a player/coach capacity-balancing delivery with mentorship
Strong problem-solving, system design, and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred / Nice to Have

Experience with additional JavaScript frameworks or libraries
Background in scalable, high-transaction, or custom enterprise platforms
Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architecture
