Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Cloud Engineer to join our client's technology team. This role is ideal for a cloud-native software engineer with strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications within the AWS ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for building secure, high-performing, and resilient cloud solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
The AWS Cloud Engineer will play a critical role in application development, testing, deployment automation, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and technical documentation. This position requires expertise in serverless architectures, modern frontend frameworks, cloud infrastructure automation, event-driven systems, and AWS security best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong experience designing and developing cloud-native applications on AWS.
Hands-on expertise with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and AWS Fargate.
Proficiency in frontend development using Angular and/or React.
Experience designing scalable data storage and caching solutions using DynamoDB, RDS, S3, and ElastiCache.
Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging services, including SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and Kinesis.
Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
Deep understanding of AWS security services and best practices, including IAM, Secrets Manager, and KMS.
Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray.
Strong data modeling and database design skills.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across technical and business teams.
