Sr Data Strategist

r Data Strategist. 

Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data strategy, or in a digital transformation role
• Experience designing data operating models and enterprise data strategies with hands-on experience working on cloud data platforms, specifically Snowflake (Snowflake is basically a must have)
• Professional experience leading a major data or digital transformation end-to-end 
• Strong data engineering fundamentals – deep understanding of how data is structured, organized, modeled, and managed  
• AI and machine learning knowledge – ability to identify use cases, guide implementation, and embed Machine Learning capabilities into business processes 
• Strong program and project management skills

Job Description: The Data Strategy Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the organization''s digital transformation goals. This role requires strong project management skills to oversee data-related initiatives and the ability to design effective data operating models that enhance data governance, quality, and accessibility. The ideal candidate will be a good problem-solver with a keen ability to diagnose functional?needs, deal with ambiguity,?identify?where things currently stand and where they want to be, develop a blueprint / roadmap, and execute.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Data Strategy Development:
• Define and articulate the organization''s data vision and strategy in alignment with business objectives. 

• Identify key data initiatives that support digital transformation efforts and drive business value. 

• Project Management: 

• Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of data projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints. 

• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to manage multiple data initiatives simultaneously. 

• Data Operating Model Design: 

• Design and implement a robust data operating model that encompasses data governance, architecture, and management practices. 

• Establish processes for data collection, storage, processing, and analysis to ensure data integrity and security. 

• Stakeholder Engagement: 

• Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure alignment with strategic goals. 

• Communicate data strategy and initiatives effectively to various audiences, including executive leadership. 

• Performance Measurement: 

• Develop metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of data initiatives and the overall data strategy. 

• Continuously monitor and refine the data strategy based on performance insights and changing business needs. 

• Team Leadership: 

• Mentor and guide team members in data management best practices and project management methodologies. 

• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
