Sr. Accountant

Innovar Group is partnering with a mission-driven organization to hire a Senior Accountant (Supervisor) to support a growing finance team. This role will lead core accounting operations, oversee a small team, and play a key role in financial reporting, process improvement, and organizational initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both leadership and hands-on accounting in a purpose-driven environment.

Title: Senior Accountant (Supervisor)

Location: Denver, CO 

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually (based on experience)

What You’ll Do:

• Lead day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger management, reconciliations, AP oversight, and revenue tracking
•  Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong variance analysis
•  Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
•  Prepare and support financial reporting for leadership, including monthly and annual statements
•  Assist with audit readiness, compliance, and strengthening internal controls
•  Partner on process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
•  Support financial systems and ERP transitions, ensuring alignment with business needs

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
•  5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
•  Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
•  Experience managing the month-end close and supporting audits
•  Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems/ERPs
•  Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
