Senior DevOps Systems Engineer (Active TS/SCI Required)/Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Systems Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to support the development, automation, and maintenance of secure, mission-critical infrastructure and application environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DevOps practices, cloud technologies, system administration, and automation within secure enterprise or government environments.

This role involves designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure deployments, improving system reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and system configuration management.
• Support cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and security across platforms.
• Manage containerized applications and orchestration platforms.
• Collaborate with software developers, cybersecurity teams, and system administrators.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application issues.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation best practices.
• Support system upgrades, patching, and operational maintenance activities.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as:
  • AWS
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• Strong experience with:
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • Linux/Unix administration
  • Git version control
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and system monitoring.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting government, defense, or intelligence community programs.
• Familiarity with microservices and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
• Relevant certifications such as:
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
  • Kubernetes certifications
  • Security+
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
