Job Description: D365 F&O Sr. Analyst (Finance and FP&A)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled D365 Finance and Operations (F&O) Sr. Analyst with strong functional and technical expertise across financial functions like FP&A, GL, AP, AR, and Fixed Assets. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in stabilizing and optimizing our global D365 F&O platform that also supports Order Management and Product Information Management, with a primary focus on driving excellence in Finance and FP&A processes. This role requires deep configuration experience, strong process understanding, and the ability to operate hands-on in a complex multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as the solution architect and subject matter expert for D365 F&O Finance and FP&A domains.
· Lead efforts to stabilize, optimize, and enhance the existing D365 F&O platform.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to map financial processes (GL, AP, AR, FA, Budgeting, and Reporting) and design scalable global operating models.
· Partner with business leadership teams to design and improve financial transactions, forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting capabilities within F&O.
· Configure D365 F&O modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash & Bank Management.
· Design and manage integrations using Dual Write between D365 F&O and D365 CE environments.
· Troubleshoot and debug functional and integration issues, ensuring platform stability and data integrity.
· Provide architectural governance and best practices across multiple business entities and regions.
· Partner with IT and business teams to deliver enhancement projects, upgrades, and change requests.
· Act as a mentor and escalation point for functional analysts and support teams.
Required Skills and Experience
· 8+ years of experience implementing or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (or AX).
· Deep expertise in Finance, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and Consolidation.
· Proven experience in modeling global financial processes across multi-entity, multi-currency organizations.
· Strong understanding of FP&A workflows and how to enable them through F&O configuration and integrations.
· Hands-on experience configuring, customizing, and debugging F&O, including X++ familiarity for root cause analysis.
· Demonstrated proficiency in working within a Dual Write environment between F&O and CE.
· Experience integrating F&O with reporting tools (Power BI, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, etc.) is a plus.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with business and IT stakeholders across geographies.
Preferred Qualifications
· Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Expert or Solution Architect Expert.
· Exposure to global ERP rollouts, data migration, and finance transformation initiatives.
· Working knowledge of Order Management, Product Information Management, and Supply Chain modules within F&O.
