Data Analyst III

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Maryland Heights, MO that seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to support data-driven decision making across our telecommunications business. In this role, the Data Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, transform, and map large datasets, delivering insights that improve operational performance, billing accuracy, and customer outcomes. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Excel, comfortable querying data using SQL, and brings strong analytical thinking to complex data problems.

Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
* Build, maintain, and enhance Excel-based models, reports, and dashboards
* Write and optimize SQL queries, including joins, filters, and aggregations, to support business reporting and analysis
* Load, validate, and reconcile data from multiple source systems
* Perform data mapping between systems to ensure data consistency and accuracy
* Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
* Support ad-hoc analysis requests and contribute to ongoing data improvement initiatives
* Ensure data quality through validation, testing, and documentation

REQUIREMENTS:
* Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis features
* Mid-level SQL experience, with strong ability to write queries involving joins and aggregations
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
* Experience with data loading, transformation, and mapping across systems
* Ability to interpret data and clearly communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice-to-Have:
* Experience in the telecommunications industry
* Familiarity with billing or BSS systems (e.g., usage, invoicing, rating, mediation data)
* Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
* Understanding of telecom KPIs such as ARPU, churn, usage, or revenue assurance

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
