Role Purpose:

Envision the future state. The Value Engineer identifies what is worth building and why—quantifying outcomes, reimagining processes, aligning stakeholders, and doing light builds to validate ideas. They see the AI-enabled future before anyone else in the room does. They use AI tools directly to prototype concepts without needing full engineering support.

What Success Looks Like:

• Frames a fuzzy business problem into a clear value opportunity independently.
• Quantifies ROI and expected outcomes before a solution is built.
• Builds lightweight prototypes using Claude, Cursor, Lovable, Replit, or Bolt to validate ideas.
• Aligns business, technology, governance, and delivery stakeholders.
• Drives ideas from hypothesis to implementation and value realization.
• Presents confidently to senior executives and handles pushback.

Required Capabilities:

• Product Management: Technical PM, product discovery, hypothesis-driven thinking, prioritization, and MVP definition
• Business & Consulting: Process transformation, business-case development, workshop facilitation, stakeholder alignment, executive communication, and design thinking
• Value Engineering: ROI modelling, financial analysis, cost-benefit assessment, business metrics definition, and value-realization tracking
• AI & Technology: Awareness of GenAI, AI agents, RAG architectures, AI-assisted development tools, rapid prototyping, and an understanding of AI capabilities and limitations
• Light Build Capability: Builds lightweight prototypes using Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, Copilot, Lovable, Replit, or Bolt—validating concepts without relying on engineering teams.
