We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, customization, and development of industrial machinery. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can work closely with customers and internal teams to design practical mechanical solutions, develop build sheets, and support the fabrication and assembly of equipment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing machinery, a solid understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, and proficiency with CAD software. This position requires someone who is comfortable both designing equipment and working directly with shop personnel to bring designs to life.

Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical systems and machinery based on customer requirements
Create detailed CAD models, layouts, and drawings for equipment and machine components
Develop build sheets, bill of materials, and fabrication documentation for manufacturing
Work directly with customers to understand application requirements and develop solutions
Select appropriate materials, components, and mechanical systems for machine designs
Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and installation teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable
Support troubleshooting, modifications, and improvements to existing equipment
Assist with machine layout, integration, and installation when needed
Maintain accurate design documentation and revision control
Qualifications
Experience designing industrial machinery or mechanical systems
Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, and mechanical components
Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar)
Experience creating build sheets, BOMs, and fabrication drawings
Hands-on mindset with the ability to work closely with shop and installation teams
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to translate customer needs into functional mechanical designs
