SAP Variant Configuration (VC) Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP Variant Configuration (VC) Consultant to support the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP VC for a client implementing configurable materials for the first time.

The consultant will work under the client’s Lead VC Consultant and play a key role in establishing the SAP VC framework from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end implementation of SAP Variant Configuration (VC) in S/4HANA.

• Participate in data discovery, scoping, and solution design for configurable products.

• Configure SAP VC including classes, characteristics, dependencies, and configuration profiles.

• Set up and maintain related master data.

• Support data migration and data load activities for configurable materials.

• Develop and execute unit testing and integration testing.

• Create functional documentation and configuration guides.

• Support user training and knowledge transfer.

• Work closely with functional leads and business stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Variant Configuration (VC).

• Experience implementing VC in SAP S/4HANA environments.

• Solid understanding of configurable materials and product modeling.

• Experience with dependencies (preconditions, procedures, selection conditions, constraints).

• Experience with data migration and master data setup.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative remote environment.

• Ability to work independently and proactively within a project team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with aerospace, manufacturing, or complex engineered products.

• Experience in private cloud SAP environments.

• Knowledge of SD/OTC processes related to configurable products.
