Data Architect - Enterprise Data & AnalyticsWe are seeking an experienced Data Architect to support an enterprise-wide Data & Analytics team. This role will take the lead in data governance, enterprise data standardization, and the modernization of data architecture across a complex environment with numerous data sources.
Job DescriptionThe Data Architect will play a critical role in shaping and governing the enterprise data ecosystem. This position will lead and facilitate the organization's data
council, ensuring that data governance guidelines, standards, and access controls are effectively implemented across business units. A key focus will be overseeing the creation and maintenance of a semantic layer that aligns data from roughly 70 systems into a unified and trusted enterprise data platform. The architect will ensure smooth data ingestion, transformation, and publication processes, while also maintaining a robust data reference architecture that delineates clear data access rules. This role includes hands-on work in staging, clearing, transforming, and publishing data using cloud and analytics technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, and Tableau.
Top Skills - Must Haves1. Data Governance & Data Council Leadership- Proven experience serving on or leading a data governance council, including establishing rules, standards, and policies across the enterprise.
- Ability to drive consensus on data definitions, data quality standards, and cross-functional data usage.
2. Semantic Layer Development- Hands-on experience building and managing a semantic layer that cross-references and unifies data from siloed systems.
- Experience working with large, distributed data ecosystems (approximately 70+ data sources is ideal).
3. Data Reference Architecture Management- Strong background maintaining an enterprise-level data reference architecture, ensuring the right users and roles have appropriate access to specific data domains.
- Ability to support data staging, clearing, transformation, and publication processes.
4. Banking Industry Experience (Required)- Direct experience working with data models, regulatory data, and business processes specific to the banking or financial services sector.
Technical Skills - AWS (data pipelines, cloud data management, storage)
- Snowflake (data warehousing, data sharing, transformations)
- Tableau (data visualization, dashboard publishing)

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
