Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Embedded C++ Developer with hands-on experience in microcontroller-based systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing embedded software for real-time applications. You will work closely with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams to build reliable, efficient, and scalable firmware solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C++ (and C where required)
Develop firmware for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, STM32, etc.)
Interface with hardware components such as sensors, actuators, and communication modules
Implement and optimize real-time systems (RTOS or bare-metal)
Debug and troubleshoot firmware using tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
Develop drivers and low-level interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, etc.)
Collaborate with hardware engineers to bring up new boards and prototypes
Perform code reviews, unit testing, and documentation
Optimize system performance, memory usage, and power consumption
Ensure compliance with coding standards and industry best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Embedded C++ (OOP concepts, memory management, STL basics if applicable)
Experience working with microcontrollers and embedded systems
Solid understanding of hardware-software interaction
Experience with communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN
Familiarity with RTOS (FreeRTOS, VxWorks, etc.) or bare-metal programming
Knowledge of debugging tools and techniques
Understanding of bootloaders, device drivers, and firmware architecture
Experience with version control systems like Git
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with STM32, NXP, TI, or similar MCU platforms
Knowledge of Embedded Linux is a plus
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for embedded development
Exposure to IoT systems and connectivity (BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee)
Understanding of low-power design and optimization techniques
Experience in domains like automotive, consumer electronics, or industrial systems
