Job Title: IT Delivery Management Director

Location: New York, NY – Hybrid

Position Summary

• The Director, IT Delivery Management is a senior role responsible for standing up and running the firm's IT delivery function.
• This individual will own the operational rigor behind how technology work enters, is governed, and gets delivered across the firm - bringing structure to architecture review, demand intake, and delivery governance.
• The role requires deep experience ideally in a law firm or professional services IT environments and will report directly to the CIO.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture Review Board (ARB) Process
• Own and run the firm's ARB process, ensuring all significant technology initiatives are reviewed for architectural fit, risk, security, and compliance before approval
• Define/refine ARB governance cadence, submission criteria, and decision documentation standards
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and application leads to ensure architectural consistency across initiatives

Intake & Demand Management

• Build and manage a formal intake process for technology requests across the firm (practice groups, business units, administration)
• Establish prioritization criteria and a demand pipeline that balances urgent needs against strategic roadmap
• Serve as the primary point of accountability for visibility into what IT is being asked to deliver, by whom, and why

Delivery Governance

• Design and operate a delivery governance framework (SDLC checkpoints, status reporting, risk/issue escalation) across concurrent IT initiatives
• Provide the CIO with consistent, reliable reporting on portfolio health, timelines, and budget
• Ensure delivery teams (internal and vendor/contractor) adhere to firm standards for quality, documentation, and change management

Legal Technology & Stakeholder Engagement

• Apply working knowledge of legal industry technology (practice/document management, e-discovery, matter management, etc.) to inform delivery priorities
• Act as a trusted advisor to practice group leaders and firm administration, translating business needs into technology delivery plans
• Represent IT delivery in firm leadership and governance forums as needed

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with direct experience in delivery management, PMO, or IT operations
• Prior experience within a law firm or legal department environment strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience owning or participating in formal architecture governance (ARB or equivalent)
• Proven track record building/running intake and demand management processes from the ground up
• Strong stakeholder management skills; comfortable operating at the executive/partner level
• Available to work on-site in the NY/Tri-State area 3 days per week
• Available to start immediately
