Summary

Job Description

You will be the Marietta Lab Lead for the Simulation & System Labs (SSL) organization on the Agile Drone Framework program. SSL is responsible for delivering high fidelity simulation and HWIL (Hardware-in-the-loop) test products.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Agile Drone Framework Marietta Lab Lead, you will provide technical and team leadership for members of the Marietta lab team. The successful candidate will lead in an agile environment, effectively organizing and guiding cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and communication, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement to enhance overall team effectiveness.
In this role, you will ensure the effective communication and flow-down of business objectives, organizational initiatives, and program priorities. You will partner closely with technical leaders across platform systems, hardware, software, integration, and flight test disciplines, as well as program leadership, to drive execution and deliver on established commitments.
You will monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and elevate concerns to functional and program management as appropriate. The selected candidate must be capable of leading technical discussions, facilitating decision-making, and driving resolution of complex technical challenges.

Your responsibilities will include:
Lead the development, integration, and testing of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and Closed-Loop capabilities within the Systems Integration Lab (SIL).
Participate in technical interchange meetings, collaborate with internal and external customers, and contribute to a wide range of program deliverables.
Manage the integration of hardware from subsystem teams and coordinate interfaces across system, segment, and supporting engineering teams.
Apply sound engineering principles to the design, integration, and implementation of components and systems in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
Lead product integration, regression, verification, and validation testing, including system checkout activities within laboratory test environments.
Provide status reporting, metrics tracking, and communication of key SIL activities, risks, and accomplishments.
Manage SIL capital equipment procurement, facility modifications, and laboratory infrastructure planning.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance lab capabilities, processes, and overall operational effectiveness.
Travel as required.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline or related field
Experience with Avionics Systems Integration and Test or Laboratory development and buildup

Desired skills

Strong technical understanding of system architecture, design methodologies, and cybersecurity principles.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Demonstrated experience working within Agile development environments and applying Agile frameworks throughout the project lifecycle.
Proven leadership, collaboration, and team building skills.
Experience with avionics systems, Systems Integration Labs (SIL), mission planning, integration and test (I&T) activities, requirements development, and verification and validation processes.
Experience integrating subsystems within a SIL environment and troubleshooting complex system integration issues.
Working knowledge of computing technologies, including processing, networking, storage, and display systems.
Experience developing, modifying, and maintaining system test procedures and test documentation.
Experience deploying, configuring, and managing hardware components and associated infrastructure.
Demonstrated success working on complex, fast-paced development programs with competing priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
Experience with DevSecOps tools and technologies, including Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, GitLab, and Docker.
Knowledge of test automation, continuous integration (CI), and continuous deployment (CD) practices.
Experience collaborating with customers and vendors, including participation in requirements reviews, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
Strong technical documentation skills, including maintaining system configurations, interface documentation, and network architecture diagrams.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
