Mainframe Engineer (W2)

Introduction:

The Mainframe Engineer will be responsible for hands-on mainframe development using COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and SQL. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain mainframe software using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
  • Collaborate with team members to analyze, design, and implement solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mainframe applications.
  • Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements:

Must Have:

  • Mainframe software development experience using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with File-Aid, Eztrieve, and SPUFI.
  • Exposure to SnapLogic, Snowflake, AWS, Java, Angular, or Python.
