Job Title: Sr. Business Systems Analyst - Design Systems
Location: Chicago, IL 60606 (Hybrid)
Durations: 6-12+ Months with possible extension and conversions.
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support a Design System initiative. This individual will work across business and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze systems and processes, identify improvement opportunities, and develop solutions that increase efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will have strong cross-functional experience, knowledge of AI tools, experience supporting design systems, and the ability to translate complex data and technical information into clear business recommendations.
Required: - Proven experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or systems development.
- Experience working with design systems.
- Knowledge of AI tools and their practical business applications.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration experience.
- High proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and user requirements.
- Practical experience creating process documentation, reports, and status updates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to translate data and technical findings into actionable business insights.
- Experience with Business Objects.
- Knowledge of ITIL Foundation principles.
Preferred: - Experience working within large enterprise teams.
- Experience collaborating with offshore or globally distributed teams.
- Experience developing system prototypes or recommending forward-looking technology solutions.
Responsibilities: - Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements across multiple business units.
- Evaluate current systems and processes to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Support the development and enhancement of enterprise design systems.
- Explore the use of AI tools to improve workflows, analysis, and overall productivity.
- Develop project management plans and ensure clear communication across all levels.
- Partner with teams such as Sales, Finance, Security, Compliance, Product, Design, and Technology.
- Create process flows, business requirements, system documentation, reports, and recommendations.
- Perform quality assurance throughout the systems development lifecycle.
- Analyze production systems and recommend improvements to usability and performance.
- Conduct daily system analysis and assist with troubleshooting issues.
- Prepare and deliver monthly project and system status reports.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Present research-based recommendations and respond to questions from managers and executives.
Pay Range: $50 - $55
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
