AS400 Programmer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an AS400 Programmer in Calhoun, GA.

Duties:
* AS400 Programmer will serve as a key member of the programming team to design and develop programs that sustain current and future growth of Company, with a focus on integrating general accounting, financial, and sales reporting functionalities
* Collaborate with project requesters and stakeholders to deliver robust solutions that adhere to defined business rules and requirements, ensuring alignment with accounting, financial, and sales reporting objectives
* Analyze existing processes and propose sustainable, scalable solutions to support growth, particularly in areas related to financial data management and reporting
* As an AS400 Programmer, you will work with the programming team to evaluate proposed project solutions, establish best practices for program development, and ensure accurate handling of accounting and sales data
* Partner with management on specific projects to formulate system solutions that enhance long-term sustainability and scalability, with an emphasis on financial and sales reporting systems

REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree in Computer Science, Programming, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
* Minimum 7 years of experience in programming on IBM System
* Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, and sales reporting processes, with the ability to integrate these into software solutions
* Experience in warehousing distribution and manufacturing, preferably in the flooring industry or related environment
* Comprehensive expertise in RPG/IV, RPG-ILE, RPG/Free, CL, DDS, SQL, Embedded SQL, Query/400, DBU, SDA, and i-Series Data Transfer
* Proficiency in additional programming languages such as C++, Visual Basic, or Java is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
