Responsibilities

Decision-making is focused on implementing practical, timely solutions. A Consultant with Windchill upgrade experience is needed for a Windchill+ implementation. The role requires PTC Windchill upgrades with good knowledge of WinDU, WinRU and Upgrade Manager.

• Monitor and facilitate activities for Major and Minor Windchill Upgrade projects
• Working on activities and assignments for Windchill Upgrade and provide expertise and assistance to the Upgrade projects for resolution of issues and execution of processes.
• Understanding of Windchill Architecture, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints. Understanding database administration, database design, and performance tuning.
• Able to execute Windchill Upgrade independently
• Follows quality processes for tasks with appropriate reviews. Participates in sharing knowledge within the team.
• You will Run WinDU and WinRU analysis and repair tools.
• You will Fix data integrity or system issues found by WinDU and WinRU.
• You will Execute the Upgrade Manager and resolve upgrade blocks.
• You will Create and update tickets in ServiceNow (SNOW).
• You will write technical notes and upgrade documentation.
• You will follow quality processes for tasks with appropriate reviews.
• You will participate in sharing knowledge within the team.
• You will execute to plan.

Knowledge and Abilities

• Strong experience with PTC Windchill upgrade procedure.
• Good knowledge of WinDU, WinRU, and Upgrade Manager.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ticket workflows.
• Knowledge of Java programming is an added advantage.
• Understanding of Windchill Architecture, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
• Have executed Windchill Upgrade projects where Source System is configured with Advanced Configurations like Clustering, Replication etc.
• Understanding database administration, database design.
• Knowledge of quality processes and their implementation.
• Clear writing skills for project documents.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of Windchill Product suites
• Experience in Windchill Configuration
• Experience with PTC Creo and other PTC software will be an advantage
• Strong debugging skills
• Good communication skills

Must Have Skills

• 3+ year relevant experience in Windchill Upgrade Projects. .
• Have executed at least 3-5 upgrades.
• Strong Windchill Knowledge
• Able to provide quality work products that are accurate, consistent, and meet the client's requirements.
