RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Services Engineer in Miami, FL (Florida).

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Services Engineer to provide technical leadership for an engineering team responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise digital technology solutions. This role combines hands-on software engineering with team leadership, ensuring the delivery of scalable, high-quality applications aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the design, development, and support of enterprise applications
* Design, develop, and implement software applications and technology solutions
* Create and maintain technical design documentation and specifications
* Participate in software testing, validation, and certification activities
* Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and operational oversight of applications and systems
* Monitor system performance and proactively address reliability and maintenance concerns
* Drive the adoption of Agile development methodologies and engineering best practices
* Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure delivery of business objectives
* Apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards, industry best practices, and engineering methodologies to solution design and implementation
* Guide technical decision-making and promote continuous improvement across engineering teams

REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of software development experience
* 5+ years of experience with Java EE development
* Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot using Maven
* Experience designing and building microservices-based architectures
* Experience with software architecture patterns and distributed systems
* Strong knowledge of relational databases and stored procedure development
* Familiarity with Git-based source control and modern development workflows

Preferred Technical Skills:
* Experience with reactive programming
* Experience with event-driven architecture patterns
* Experience with Kubernetes, container technologies, GitOps practices, and Jenkins
* Exposure to NoSQL databases

Professional Skills:
* Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers
* Strong understanding of computer science and software engineering principles
* Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
* Effective communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work independently and lead technical teams
* Demonstrated ability to apply methodologies, tools, best practices, and processes to deliver quality software solutions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
