Electrical BIM Designer- Telecommunications

We are seeking a BIM Designer with strong Revit and AutoCAD skills to support telecommunications design and documentation. The candidate will develop and manage coordinated 3D BIM models, prepare 2D construction drawings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver accurate, clash-free project documentation.

• Develop, set up, and manage Revit BIM models according to project and client standards.
• Create and revise 3D models and 2D construction drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Prepare coordinated models across multiple disciplines, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications.
• Convert sketches, markups, and redlines into accurate design and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with telecom leads, engineers, architects, and other BIM team members.
• Perform model coordination and clash detection to ensure constructible deliverables.
• Maintain drawing databases, naming conventions, and project documentation.
• Conduct site visits and field verification when required.
• Follow design standards, specifications, and Management of Change processes.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of BIM design experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications systems design or the construction industry.
• Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with client BIM standards, construction specifications, and design documentation.
• Basic understanding of wiring, cabling, circuits, and connections between devices.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup tools.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

• Experience with Navisworks and multidisciplinary 3D model coordination.
• Knowledge of data center environments.
• Experience designing paging, intercom, audiovisual, life safety, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV systems.
• Understanding of control systems, network components, and network topology.
• Ability to estimate design and modeling effort from markups and project requirements.
• Relevant Autodesk, ADDA, or other CAD/BIM certifications.
